Right, so. I just read Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere, which is a book I enjoyed thoroughly, and upon flicking back through it, I stumbled upon this line, which I also thoroughly enjoyed:

” ‘Anyway,’ said Richard, in the untroubled tone of voice of someone whose hangover has left him, and who knew that, somewhere far above them, someone was having a beautiful day. ‘That was OK. Nice food. And no one was trying to kill us.’ “
